SUMMARY
Inter Ditton went into this tournament with the same squad as the Bedfont Green Tournament with the added addition of Arun as this was a 7 a side tourny. This is the most prestigous tournament we enter and normally is of very high standard, so we knew we had to start brightly. There was a different format to last year with 3 groups of six teams make 18 teams altogether and teams with the best overall record being seeded No.1 . The best record of the top 8 teams after the group stages went into the main cup, the 9th too 16th best teams entered the plate while the worst 2 teams took no further part.
We didnt want to b e in the 2 worst or even the Plate, so knew to get off to a good start would put us in with a good chance of making the main cup.
We started off full of confidence and looked like we ment business, while playing some great football at times, we were making chances from all over the park and in all games dominated, we made chances and took chances.Mason didnt have a lot to do but when he did he was fully focused to deal with any threat, Tom and Luke at the back made it easier for Mason by closing down and getting vital blocks in, while Toby, Tommy and Arun were passing and moving which was great on the eye and impossible for our opponents to handle, Both Jalen and Deon was causing our opposing defenders problems all day.It was great to see the goals being shared around the team.Even before our last game, we knew we were seeded first as other group winners had either lost or drawn a game where as wed won everyone whilst not even concieding.
On to the 1/4 finals where we were up against 8th seeds Aller Park Blues, wed already beaten their other side in the group stages. Wed played all our games on pitch 5 which was nice and flat with green grass on it, for the 1/4s we had to move to pitch 1 where the pitch wasnt no where as good and not ideal for the passing game.
For some reason we did start off well and to be fair to our opponents put us under pressure, we wasnt clearing our lines and then gave away a penalty, which Mason saved. That was our let off, or so we thought, only for a minute or so later, we again failed to clear and their player won the ball to square it to their striker who finished well, it was our first goal conceded, half time came and we had a quick chat about upping our game.
The boys duely obliged and put Aller Park under constant pressure, we should of hasd a pen of our own, but the ref waved play on, the clock was ticking and we knew it wasnt going to be our day.The ref finally blew and Aller Park celebrated while we consoled the boys.Aller Park manager said he couldnt believe theyd won as he thought we were the best side there.
All boys deserve great credit for the way we played, and only one bad half cost us, but thats tournament football for you and i hope we can learn from this experience, well done again boys, you was fantastic

Summary
We went into this tournament with 7 boys after Club captain Jalen playing for our eventul semi finalist HSC Afeewee Urban, but we still had a strong team with Mason in goal, Tom and Luke at the back, Stevie G, Joey and Deon in midfield and Nic up front, we knew we needed a good start against a team wed never played before, after a good warm up, we was ready for our first game.
We started off at a frantic pace and put Morden under pressure, after a few missed chances, we eased past our first opponents 3-0 with Doen getting a brace
On to our 2nd game against old friends Totting and Mitcham, our games are always close and this one was mo different with Inter just nicking it 2-1, so far so good.
We went into the 3rd game against afc Ewell who had also won their 2 previous games, so knew it would be tough.Once again we started off well and went into a 2-0 half time lead and could of been more as we dominated, for some reason we switch off 2nd half thinking the game was won and all credit to afc Ewell who came storming back to win 3-2. So we knew we had to win the last game and hope AFC Ewell lost to win the group.
In the last group game we was once again up against old friends in tournament hosts Wandgas, we wasnt going to mess this one up and ran out 6-0 winners.
Through out the group games we played some great football and aswell as the hatfull of goals we scored, we also hit the post and woodwork on numerous occasions
So onto the semis where we came up against club captain Jalen and HSC Afewee Urban who won their group in impressive style, We were the underdogs but youd never of thought it as we started off well and went 1-0 up, we put HSC under pressure and pressed them high up the pitch, but we could hold on and HSC equalised.....On to Extra Time and a couple of free kicks by HSC won the tie and knocked us out 3-1 aet, Hsc went on to win the final so its not disgrace to lose to the eventual winners
Agreat day all round and thanks to out hosts and friends from Wandgas for a great tournament

SUMMARY
On a very hot morning in the lush surroundings of The Royal Holloway Uni in leafy Egham. Inter Ditton Youth took part in the prestigous Arsenal International soccer fetival.Teams from all over the country and even from Ireland were there, so we knew it would be tough. The boys wanted to put last weeks Woking Tournament behind them and knew they would have to play better to do well here.It was only 5 mins each way which makes getting the first goal very important
We were missing Jalen, Deon , and Alfie, but luckily we could bring in 2 new boys in Joey and Steve, to strengthen our slightly depleted squad
Due to a mix up, where we thought it was a six a side tournament, we started with six players on the pitch, only for eagle eyed Joey who after a few minutes ,realised our opponents Cowley Sports had 7 players on.We asked the ref who comfirmed it was 7 a side, so on came Joey.We were trying to pass the ball and it wasnt til the second half that we took a deserved lead with Nic getting the all important goal.So a good start was made
On to our second game, we were on the pitch ready to kick off, but sadly there were no sign of our opponents, The Real Soccer Academy. We waited for nearl 10 minutes, to find out they hadnt turned up, so was awarded the game and a 2-0 win.Wed of prefered to of played the game rather than just getting the 3 points, but it turned out the other teams in our group also got an awarded game against Real Football academy
We watched as the other 2 teams in our group, played out a 1-1 draw which ment that even before we played our last group game, that we were through to the 1/4 finals, a draw against Delaford Colts in our last group game would of been enough to top the group, but the boys wasnt settling for a draw. After an initial first couple of minutes of pressure by Delaford, in which Mason made a couple of good saves, the Inter boys settled and won 1-0 with a clinical finish from new boy Steve
So we topped our group without conceding
Onto the 1/4 finals where we were up against New Windsor Ospreys. We seemed to not be playing with our heads and everyone got sucked over to our right, leaving their forward all alone to score past Mason. The heads could of dropped but we said at half time that we could get back in it if the boys believed in themselves.Luckily they did and got back in the game with one of the best goals all morning.Reece fed the ball out to Steve wide on the right, Steve beat his marker and put over a great ball which Nic lept to plant a great header past the keeper. We pushed for the winner but time beat us.
So there was no extra time, just straight to Penalties.3 pens per side, of which all players scored, although they hit the post, but unluckily for Inter it came back off of the diving Mason. So on to sudden death. We missed ours and they scored theirs which knocked us out
Once againMason made some good saves, Tom and Luke were a rock at the defence and Callum , Reece and Joey worked hard in midfield.Nic and Steve were a handful up front, so although we didnt make it to the semi finals, all boys can feel proud of their work in the prestigous tournament, which we have been ask to come back to next season

SUMMARY
After the euthoria of last weekend Bedfont Green tournament win, Inter Ditton Youth came back down to earth at the Woking Cougars tournament. It looked like we were once again in the hardest group, but was still hopful we could play our free flowing football and finish in the top 2. As it turned out, this was a near repeat of the Epsom and Ewell tournament, where we were slow out the blocks anddidnt pass the ball aswell as we know we can.We did well against the better teams and just couldnt finish off the so called weaker teams in our group. The positives were we beat one of the best sides in Surrey in the shape of Guildford Saints( the only team to beat them on the day), and also stopped group winners Molesey from scoring.
The results will show we only conceded 1 goal in 5 games, but they also show we wasnt as clinical infront of goal also. These tournaments are a great learning experience and i hope the boys will learn from this tournament. From the last 3 tournaments, we have only conceded 3 goals in 17 games, which is a great achievment, but as games are so short, we need to start off a bit quicker and learn to save energy between games

SUMMARY
It was an early start over at Hanworth Park where the youths embarked on their second tournament within a week, Deon and Callum were both missing and an injury to Mason in training on Thursday meant he couldnt play either.New signing Alfie was available though .Barry took over the managers role for the day and Neil assisted him with Darryl also kindly coming over to help out.Harry was promoted from the colts team to replace Mason in goal
We knew we had to start quick and with it being 12 mins straight we thought that would suit us.We won the first game 3-1 while playing some nice football, Harry made 2 great saves to help us get off to a great start. This was followed up by a 2-0 and 3-0 win with a hat-trick from Nic
We then had over an hours rest before our fourth game, the rest didnt do us any favours as we'd played some great football in the first 3 games, in the fourth , we didnt have the same spark but still managed a late goal from Reece to win 1-0.We knew we had qualified but still went into the last group game determined to have a 100% win record, which we did with a 2-0 win
So onto the Quarter Finals where Bourne End were our opponents as the finished second in group C. We showed out class again and ran out 2-0 winners
We didnt want to take anything for granted and watched our potential semi final opponents in their quarter final.
It turned out we were to play Barnes Eagle Colts. We once again played well and Harry had little to do.We once again won 2-0 with 2 cracking free kicks from Tom.and we were now in the final.
Molesey were our opponents and stood in our way of winning the tournament, in a close fought game, Jalen came up with the all important winner to send all parents and friends ecstatic.
It was a great day and every outfield player scored including our 2 defenders Luke and Tom from free kicks.
Harry was nominated to pick the cup up, which he did with pleasure. All boys from Harry in the sticks, Tom and Luke looking very comfortable at the back, through the midfield trio of Alfie making his Inter debut looking very skilful,Jalen playing with such style and panache to Reece playing the winger role running at players, all the way through to lone striker Nic, played their part. Also another pleasing thing is that we got some very good comments from other teams about the way we played.
So well done to everyone.

With only the top team from the groups garunteed to go into the semis, we knew we had to get off to a good start.Although we played well in the first 2 games, we couldnt find the killer ball or get our shots off to score that vital goal you need when its only 5 minutes each way.
We found the net in our third game courtesy of Nic and that was enough
We went into our last and probably hardest game against Epsom Eagles knowing we needed a win to maybe finish second and hope we was the best runner up.Unfortunately we went a goal behind but played our best football of the day and if it wasnt for 3 fantastic saves by the Eagles keeper, we would of beaten one of the best sides in Surrey.
All boys did well on the day and Bryce fitted in very well and was superb all morning.
So once again we came so near but not near enough, but we are still novices at tournament footall and we will only get better, well done all.
COLTS

Inter Ditton Colts 0 Sutton Colts 2
Epsom Eagles 'B' 3 Inter Ditton Colts 0
SUMMARY
Firstly, thank you all for attending the tournament last Sunday despite the awful weather - I really appreciate all your support.
In our first ever competitive match we started slowly but competed well against a good Leatherhead side. With only five minutes each half we found it difficult to retain enough possession to establish a good passing rythmn. As the game moved into the second half we began to move the ball much better but unfortunately conceded a last minute goal to lose our first game 1-0.
Things improved markedly in our second game against Corinthian Casuals and for large periods of play we dominated, keeping possession well and threatening their goal on a number of occasions. Charlie, Arun and Calum all had spells up front and we had chances to win the game. Unfortunately we just couldn’t finish Casuals off and the game ended 0-0.
Sutton Colts were a different proposition and were physically, technically and tactically stronger than us. Consequently, they dominated and we had to work hard defensively for long periods of the game. Unfortunately, we lost possession near to our goal a couple of times and their strikers showed clinical finishing to run out comfortable 2 – 0 winners.
Our final game against Epsom Eagles B was a different prospect and, as in the 2nd game, we started to play much better football with good passing and movement. However, we again lost possession in key areas resulting in an early ‘soft’ goal for the opposition and in attempting to get an equaliser we left ourselves exposed to counter attack conceding two more before the game ended.
Although the results didn't go our way I was very encouraged by the way we tried to play good passing football whenever possible. We have to remember that this was our first opportunity to come together and play competitive football. Also, many of the teams we played have been together for 2 years or more. There is a lot we can improve on and the more training sessions we have together the better we will become. It will not happen overnight but I remain confident that by the time the season begins we will be ready for action.
On this page, you will find all the results from Inter Ditton Youth and Colts teams from all the Tournaments they enter

SUMMARY
What a fantastic first Tournament and weekend we had.Although we didnt win the tournament(a goal in our last game would of seen us in the final) we made friends from the other teams, WON the FAIR PLAY award and also it was a great bonding experience for all players and parents.
Only downside was the injury to Nic but the boys rallied round him to keep his spirits up.
We dominated most games and feel we could and should of been in the final, but thats tournament football for you.
I'd like to thank all boys and parents for all being superb through out the weekend and it made me proud to be part of Inter Ditton Youth FC.
